Snapchat became another digital company that recently entered the AI chatbot race, but it's fair to say that its journey hasn't been without its share of difficulties. Since the company made the decision to make the chatbot available to a larger audience, the ChatGPT-powered platform has received critical feedback from users.
Many consider the 'My AI' AI chatbot, which is displayed at the top of the Snap user's screen, to be a violation of their privacy because Snapchat did not get their permission before adding it to the app.
These users have expressed dissatisfaction with Snapchat's decision to launch the chatbot rather than making it an opt-in feature. Some others even want the chatbot to be able to be removed from the Snapchat app's main page.
All of this dissatisfaction has had a negative impact on Snapchat's app store rankings (on both iOS and Android), with many users giving the service a 1-star review.
