The mustard fields, especially in the Pampore area of South Kashmir, stand out against the majestic Zabarwan mountains. This makes for an amazing contrast that photographers and nature lovers can't avoid. What's interesting is how Bollywood makes the attraction even stronger. Inspired by scenes from the famous movie "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge," tourists want to do the same thing in these fields, which gives their Kashmir experience a bit of movie nostalgia.

"I got the idea to paint the mustard fields after seeing them in the Bollywood movie Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge." A tourist from Delhi, Isha, said, "It's so beautiful. We're also going to the Tulip Garden, but this is a natural beauty that everyone should see." This is how many other guests felt.

The National Oilseeds Mission of the government is also helping this draw grow. With a strategic focus on increasing the growth of oilseed crops, especially mustard, in the Kashmir Valley, the project aims to improve both farming and tourism. An Agriculture Officer named Ishtiaq Ahmad Bhat explained, "This year, we've added about 500 hectares of land for growing mustard, mostly along this national highway that tourists use." Not only do these fields attract tourists, but their use for apiculture also contributes to the increase in honeybee populations.

Tourists now make it a point to stop at these mustard fields on their way to famous spots like Pahalgam and Gulmarg to take pictures of the scenery that goes so well with Kashmir's natural grandeur. The sight of long stretches of blooming mustard flowers against snow-capped hills is nothing short of a visual symphony. This has led some tourists to compare the scenery to the beautiful scenery in Switzerland.

Choudhary Muhammad Iqbal, Director of Agriculture in Kashmir, was optimistic about this "yellow revolution." He pointed out that more farmers are interested in growing mustard and predicted a big crop. This change in farming will not only help the economy, but it will also add a new layer to Kashmir's tourism story by showing off the region's many interesting and unique things to offer beyond its usual tourist attractions.

These mustard fields, which are both an agricultural and a tourist attraction, show how nature's beauty and human endeavours can live together in harmony. They invite visitors to enjoy the golden beauty of Kashmir's countryside. The Mustard Fields of Kashmir are set to become a lasting sign of the valley's timeless beauty and charm as more people visit to see this golden show.
