Satpura Bhawan in Bhopal which is the office of several private and government departments was in an uncontrolled blaze of conflagration on June 12th. The massive fire was extinguished after a 14-hour struggle and effort by the firemen. The rescue operation team also involved officers and cadets from the Indian Air Force, Indian Army and the local authorities.Reports say that the people inside the building were displaced at the right time, and luckily led to no casualties. The fire started at around 4 pm on 12th June, on the 3rd floor of the Satpura Bhawan building, and it swiftly spread to the 4th, 5th and 6th floors in the blink of an eye.

The 3rd floor is the office of the Tribal Welfare Association. As the fire came in contact with some air conditioners and gas cylinders, it led to a series of massive explosions that devastated the building completely. The health care centers and other offices near this building had also seen the adversity of this effect. Chief Minister of Bhopal, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, had sought the help of the Central government to arrange forces to assist in dousing the fire. However, even after successfully keeping the fire out, there is an impending risk of the fire restarting due to the smoke contained in the atmosphere. This condition has been worked on by a team of experts.
