Leopard attack continues 15 casualties thus far

A leopard terrorized a neighbourhood in the Jorhat district of Assam on Monday, injuring at least 15 people, including three forest staff. The incident took place close to the Rain Forest Research Institute in Jorhat, Chenijan.In the Sotai area of the district, the irate leopard first attacked a father, mother, and their two children earlier today.

After receiving the information, officials from the forest rushed to the scene and used rifles and fireworks to chase the leopard away from the residential area. They reported that the operation resulted in injuries to two forest officials. According to Mohan Lal Meena, the superintendent of police for the Jorhat district, 15 people were injured in the attack, including three forest staff members.

"All the injured were admitted to a local hospital. They are said to be out of danger," the SP said.
