During their silver jubilee reunion celebration, the 1998 batch of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has achieved a remarkable feat by making an extraordinary and unprecedented collective contribution of ₹57 crore to their cherished alma mater. This exceptional accomplishment surpasses the previous record set by the 1971 batch during their golden jubilee festivities, with a generous donation of ₹41 crore.

The generous fund infusion will help to establish sustainable and eco-friendly hostels, maker space labs with a state-of-the-art micro AI factory, and funding for projects at the Centre for Machine Intelligence and Data Minds (C-MInDS).
