The Siachen Glacier is a glacier in the eastern Karakoram range in the Himalayas, located in the northernmost part of the disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It is the second-longest glacier in the world's non-polar regions and the longest in the Karakoram. The glacier is located at an altitude of around 5,753 meters (18,875 feet) above sea level.

Captain Shiva Chauhan
The Siachen Glacier has been the site of a military conflict between India and Pakistan since 1984. Indian forces control the western portion of the glacier and Pakistani forces control the eastern portion. The area has a harsh and inhospitable climate, with temperatures regularly dropping below -40 degrees Celsius (-40 degrees Fahrenheit) in the winter and strong winds making it difficult to maintain a permanent presence there. The conflict has resulted in many casualties on both sides. Efforts to resolve the dispute have been ongoing, but have so far been unsuccessful.

Shiva will be a team leader, responsible for numerous combat engineering tasks. Special arrangements have been made to accommodate her on the frozen battlefield.
