The fearless businesswoman Palakh Khanna is shattering all social taboos with Break The Ice

This is a story about a young girl who faced strange situations, leading her to discover her voice. Palakh Khanna a 19-year young free spirit belongs to a very protective family. Her parents have always taught her to be an independent self.

She is an exceptional example of beauty with brains. Don't underestimate this pure soul because Palakh is much more than just a teenager. She is a global climate ambassador, a world record holder, a social entrepreneur, and an environmentalist.

She is also the youngest mentor and panellist for the Delhi government's mentoring programme. The George Bush Foundation has also recognised her inspirational work.

Let's travel in the past to learn about the start of the journey.

Palakh has always wanted to create change, but she never understood how. One day, she overheard her mother and her housekeeper avoiding a chat about periods during the pandemic.

She learned the importance of these subjects, which society ignores, after overhearing their conversation at that point, she was up to creating a forum where everyone could speak up and discuss topics that are forbidden.

This is the beginning of a change in the name of Break The Ice. It is an international, student-run, non-profit organisation founded to foster enlightened youth culture and cultivate a network of young changemakers who are open and conscious.

Palakh is not only bringing about a vibrant transformation, but she is also excelling in her education with flying colours. If you want to balance both sides for success, keep in mind that education and creation go hand in hand.

With the help of Break The Ice, she is raising awareness and taking action to change the world in little, smaller steps. They are an organization founded by youth, for youth.

“Abhi manjil dur hain rukna nahi, aayegi abhi mushkile hazar, jhukna nahi.”

This transformative journey was not easy. This courageous entrepreneur had to start creating the change from her own house. And she did it with the same effort and enthusiasm.

From childhood on, a woman has to deal with a lot of strange situations. A married girl should only wear sarees and dresses; she should get married young; afterwards, she should focus solely on domestic duties; and no matter what, the bindi should not fall off her forehead. There is a very long list of dos and don'ts to follow.

In every home, every day these kinds of conversations happen but are we listening? Is it time for a change? A thought to ponder!

Fortunately, Palakh has already chosen her course of action for this breakthrough. Instead of standing by and doing nothing, she will take action to bring about the change that society needs.

This successful entrepreneur firmly believes that everyone has the right to live their life as they see fit. She advocates for women's rights as well as all forms of gender equality, menstruation, mental health awareness, and other issues.

A splendid job!

This adventure has certainly transformed Palakh as well. She went from being an introvert to someone who is at ease networking, dealing with a wide audience every day, and someone who pushes outside of her comfort zone, which is one of the biggest changes she has undergone along this journey.

She considers herself quite fortunate because every member of her family is aware of her mission and frequently shares it with their professional networks. They are pleased to see her educating others and tackling taboo subjects.

Even though managing an organisation while attending college and juggling other responsibilities is challenging, she finds it both enjoyable and demanding to improve her time and energy management skills. And she adored splitting the time equally.

Palakh feels that because she was an entrepreneur who was just starting, she was unaware of the concept of failure anxiety. But now she is getting to know that as she moves ahead.

But she is grateful that one of her mentors gave her this wise advice about putting consistency over perfectionism or fear of failure, and it has stuck with her ever since. It is essential to have a good teacher, and Palakh is very dedicated to being that positive energy source for those in need.

She also emphasises how crucial it is for everyone to keep their purpose in mind. It could become challenging, but if you persevere, it will all be worthwhile. Keep in mind your WHY!

“When the Why is clear, the How is easy.”
