The Story of Solo Leveling

Solo Leveling begins with a prelude set a decade ago, when the first pathway, known as a "gate," opened into the world, attracting creatures from another dimension. At the same time, humans began to develop magical abilities, which they used to hunt these dangerous monsters from another dimension. As time passed, the Hunters became more organized, and missions were dispatched to conquer the dungeons within these gates and defeat the creatures before they reached the human world.

The use of the class ranking system to classify a variety of hunters is an important aspect of the story. The ranking system goes from letter S to letter E, with S being the highest and E being the lowest. Depending on your rank, you may be assigned a more significant and dangerous mission, resulting in increased income, standing, and reputation within the community. The most important aspect is that once assigned a rank, it is nearly impossible to change that rank. It's nearly impossible because, of course, one character always breaks the rules.

The Protagonist- Sung Jinwoo

In a world where hunters and monsters coexist, Sung Jinwoo, a weak hunter, gains extraordinary powers through a mysterious program. He becomes one of the strongest hunters and even conquers the strongest dungeons. At the beginning of the story, Sung Jinwoo is an infamous E-rank hunter. Due to his weak standing, poor weapon choice, and constant near-death experiences, he has earned a reputation as the "Weakest Hunter of All Mankind." However, he has chosen this path because of his circumstances. His mother is currently in a coma, and with his younger sister to take care of, Sung Jinwoo persists so he can provide for himself and his family. When the main story of Solo Leveling begins, he has been a hunter for about four years.
