“I feel like a superstar in front of thousands of people at Seoul Pride,” Yang stated to the BBC, "I get the tingles and a real rush of adrenaline." “I enjoy getting energy from a large crowd and interacting with people.”

After seeing friends drag, he tried it for the first time and realised that it could help him combine his activism and appreciation for art.

Drag queens are performers, usually male, who dress in elaborate, often extravagant costumes and makeup, typically for the purpose of entertainment. They often perform in drag shows or as part of the LGBTQ+ community.

Drag queens may also use exaggerated femininity and female impersonation as part of their performance. Drag performance has a long history in various cultures and is often associated with LGBTQ+ culture and history, particularly in relation to the gay community.

Drag queens may also perform as comedians, actors, or singers. The drag queen culture has seen a resurgence in popularity in recent years, particularly with the rise of RuPaul's Drag Race, a reality television show featuring drag queens competing in challenges and performances.
