In addition to ruling the Indian box office, superstar Shah Rukh Khan also became the most popular trend on Google. Pathaan and Jawan, Shah Rukh's two major films of the year, dominated the movies portion of the recently revealed most trending searches for 2023.
Jawan achieved the top trending local film rank and the third top trending global film search, per the press release "India's Year in Search 2023." The announcement stated, "Pathaan and Gadar 2 also secured coveted spots as local and worldwide trending films." Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan's 2023 smash hit, took in ₹1160 crore worldwide, according to a Sacnilk.com report. Dunki, his third movie of the year, is currently the focus as people wait to see if it can equal Pathaan and Jawan's phenomenal box office results. Pathaan became the first movie to earn more than ₹650 crore worldwide from the box office. The spy movie, which co-stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham and was released around Republic Day, has made ₹1055 crore in total lifetime worldwide.
Along with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's chart-topping Brahmastra tune Kesariya, filmmaker Atlee's Jawan also managed to secure a spot in the global top 3. The Amitabh Bhattacharya-written and Arijit Singh-performed Pritam song came in second place among songs that people hummed and searched for online.
A run of well-received films has catapulted Kiara Advani to stardom. She topped the Indian trendy people list and was included in the global trending actors list.
