Salman Khan's 'Tiger 3' earns 4.2 cr in advance ticket booking

Salman Khan's forthcoming movie Tiger 3 has had a spectacular beginning in its early booking phase. The movie managed to secure more than 1.42 lakh tickets through 7,392 showings, resulting in a first-day advance booking revenue of approximately Rs 4.2 crore. Tiger 3's Hindi 2D showings accounted for a combined total of 138,804 tickets sold across 7,231 screenings, while its Hindi IMAX 2D presentations saw 2,713 tickets sold across 109 shows.

On Sunday, the film’s Hindi 4DX shows sold 513 tickets across 52 shows. According to Indian film trade portal Sacnilk, major contributors to Tiger 3’s pre booking were Maharashtra (1.47 crore), Delhi (1.16 crore), Telangana (74.32 lakh), West Bengal (70.90 lakh), Gujarat (63.68 lakh), Kerala (54.67 lakh), and Uttar Pradesh (51.35 lakh).

Additionally, on Sunday, Salman Khan's upcoming movie has seen ticket sales surpassing 56,100 in two prominent multiplex chains. As reported by Bollywood Hungama, Tiger 3 achieved ticket sales of 47,000 at PVR Inox theatres and 9,100 at Cinepolis for its opening day, resulting in a cumulative total of 56,100 tickets sold.

Box office prediction of Day 1

According to trade analyst and film critic Sumit Kadel, Tiger 3 is possibly to score around rs 40 crore in terms of net box office. A huge “MAARA MAARI” at the ticket counters may take place from Monday and theatres might need to cater late-night shows, predicts Kadel.

Salman Khan's most recent film has accumulated about 407.8k likes on BookMyShow, a week before its cinematic debut. However, it lags behind Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan and Pathaan, as both of these films had approximately 730k and 722k likes, respectively, on their respective release dates.

Under the direction of Maneesh Sharma, Tiger 3 continues the narrative from the films Tiger Zinda Hai, War, and Pathaan. This movie represents the third installment in Yash Raj Films' (YRF) Tiger franchise, following Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai. It's also the fifth entry in the YRF Spy Universe, which encompasses movies like Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, and Pathaan.

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif will reprise their respective roles as Tiger and Zoya. The film will also feature Emraan Hashmi, Riddhi Dogra, Ranvir Shorey, Vishal Jethwa, and Gavie Chahal in significant roles. The film is set for a worldwide release on November 11, with an India-wide release on November 12 in both standard and IMAX formats, offering screenings in Hindi, Tamil, and Telegu.
