Ranveer Singh, with 2 foreign artists to receive career honours at Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Film Festival

German Actor Diane Kruger, Bollywood Actor Ranveer Singh, and Saudi actor-writer Abdullah Al-Sadhan will be honoured at the upcoming Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia. 

Notable personalities including Joel Kinnaman, Freida Pinto, Amina Khalil, and Paz Vega are in the main Jury list of the festival under the presidency of Baz Luhrmann.

Turkish-German director Fatih Akin, known for directing Kruger in "In The Fade," joins the shorts competition jury with Saudi writer Hana Alomair and French-Moroccan actor Assad Bouab.

Mohammed Al-Turki, CEO of the Red Sea Film Foundation, expressed excitement about honouring Singh, Kruger, and Al-Sadhan for their significant contributions to cinema. He recognized the diverse and impactful contributions of these artists in cinema during the festival's third edition. 

“This year we are honouring Ranveer Singh, an icon of Hindi cinema.", Mohammed Al-Turki states while mentioning Bollywood star Ranveer Singh.

 

About the Festival 

The Red Sea International Film festival’s third edition is set to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and will commence on November 30, 2023 and is upto 9 December. The festival's opening film is a a fantasy film, "HWJN," directed by Yasir Al-Yasiri.
