BeerBiceps’ Ranveer Allahbadia has sparked a controversy after attending Samay Raina’s show as a panelist for the joke he passed to a contestant.
Mr. Allahbadia was invited as a panelist along with other popular content creators- Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, Apoorva Mukhija (known as “The Rebel Kid” on instagram).
Ranveer Allahbadia is known for his YouTube Channel “BeerBiceps”and “TRS” (The Ranveer Show), where he invites popular celebrities and famous personalities for podcasts and interviews.
Ranveer Allahbadia’s Controversy
During the show, the YouTuber passed an offensive humour or in gen-z terms “Dark Humour” to a contestant.
Mr. Allahbadia said, “ Would you watch your parents having sex everyday or join in once and stop it forever?”.

In the clip, Ranveer Allahbadia passed an offensive joke to a contestant to which the audience and other panel members laughed which sparked the outrage and netizens are demanding to cancel Ranveer Allahbadia.
Public Reaction
The humour has sparked a wide outrage over the internet, famous author and audio storyteller Mr. Neelesh Misra also took it to “X” and criticized the famous content creators who were in the panel, all of them having millions of followers. Furthermore, Mr. Neelesh also slammed the creators for lack of responsibility and accountability, adding to it, he said that the content is not designated as adult and even small children can have access to it if the algorithm recommends it.

Supriya Shrinate, a congress spokesperson replied to Neelesh Misra’s post, condemning the humour Mr. Allahbadia passed.

Other netizens also criticized the crude joke made by the YouTuber, a user wrote to Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, requesting her to take actions against them.
Ranveer Allahbadia in India’s got Latent
Another user wrote that actors like Amitabh Bachchan should feel ashamed for bringing such people on his famous show “Kaun Banega Crorepati” as Samay Raina, Bhuvan Bam along with Tanmay Bhatt and Kamiya Jani appeared on the show very recently.

However, amidst the controversy and outrage, Mr. Allahbadia hasn't said anything so far regarding the criticism and controversy.
Impact Of The Controversy
Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast has created a very decent, wise image of him which is being questioned by the users now. Internet users are slamming him for making such a joke while he talks about spirituality, meditation in his podcasts. At the National Creators Award, Mr. Allahbadia was also awarded with the “Disruptor of The Year” title by our Prime Minister. Hence, the followers and users are disappointed with the joke he made on Samay Raina’s show.
The Line Between Offence and Humour
The controversy has sparked an outrage over the internet regarding the difference between offence and humour. Questioning whether only dark and vulgar humour gains attention. Instances of demeaning, objectifying during comedy are increasing, which turns out to be offensive against people, culture or community.
India’s Got Latent, the show created by Samay Raina was also in controversy a few weeks back when a contestant “Jessy Nabam” commented about Arunachal Pradesh people eating dogs, which landed Samay Raina’s show and the contestant in Legal troubles.
