Ranbir Kapoor, known for his romantic roles, is set to take on a new, darker and more violent avatar in his upcoming film "Animal". Directed by Sandeep Vanga Reddy, the film is said to be one of the most intense projects of Ranbir and Sandeep's careers. The film also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna in pivotal roles.
Originally scheduled for an August 11 release, "Animal" was initially planned to coincide with "Gadar 2." Nevertheless, owing to unfinished post-production tasks, the release date was pushed back to December 1.
In a video statement, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga explained the delay in the release of "Animal" by emphasizing the importance of maintaining the film's quality. He mentioned that handling seven songs, multiplied across five languages, resulted in 35 songs, each with unique lyricists and singers, and contributed significantly to the delay.
"Animal" was originally supposed to star Parineeti Chopra, but she was replaced by Rashmika Mandanna. Ranbir Kapoor, who has not committed to any other project since "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar", is eagerly awaiting the film's release.
The film is a gangster drama that explores the complex relationships between its characters. It is said to be a gripping thriller that will ultimately lead the protagonist to become an animalistic figure.
