At the Jailer audio launch, held in Chennai on Friday at Nehru Stadium, Rajinikanth was his usual open self. The popular actor from Tamil Nadu talked openly about his drinking issue, calling it his biggest mistake. The Tamil celebrity urged his followers to drink sensibly rather than carelessly.
"I would have helped the community if alcohol had not entered my life. The biggest error in life is alcoholism, he allegedly said. He also said that he would have done much better in life and become a larger star than he is now if it weren't for alcohol.
In his 2018 movie Kaala, Rajinikanth tackled the problem of alcoholism. In the movie, his character loses his wife because he was irresponsible after drinking. That was the first time the performer, who had previously utilised smoke and booze as fashion statements, portrayed them negatively.
The statement Rajinikanth made regarding the "Superstar" title card was another notable part of his speech. The title card, which his fans eagerly anticipate in each of his new films, was mentioned by Rajinikanth as something he wants to do away with. The directors had ignored his plea for them to take down the title card.
The famous person also discussed the negative feedback Beast director Nelson Dilipkumar received after directing Jailer. The movie, in which Vijay starred, received negative reviews from reviewers and viewers, which sparked rumours that Nelson had been released from jail. Nevertheless, Rajini, who had faith in the director, asserted that Beast was a success despite the negative reviews. He asserted that the movie did not harm the distributors.
In addition to Rajinikanth, Jailer also has prominent roles for Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishnan, Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, Vasanth Ravi, and Tamannaah. On August 10, the movie will be screened in theatres. The soundtrack for the Sun Pictures-produced movie was written by Anirudh Ravichander, who previously did the score for Rajini's Petta.
