"Rocketry: The Nambi Effect" by Indian superstar R Madhavan has been added to the list of movies that could win an Oscar in 2023. In a recent interview, the actor talked about how he felt about the movie, which was included along with eight other Indian films running for the 2023 Oscars.
In addition to the biopic about Nambi Narayanan, five of these nine films are from the South Indian film industry: "RRR," "Kantara," "Iravin Nizhal," and "Vikrant Rona." The actor revealed that he is overjoyed to see a number of Indian films on the Oscar shortlist and that he is hopeful that the film will win the award.
"Rocketry: The Nambi Effect" is a biographical film written and directed by R Madhavan, based on the life of space scientist Nambi Narayanan. The film stars Madhavan, Simran, Misha Ghosal, Karthik Kumar, Sam Mohan, Rajeev Ravindranathan, Bhawsheel, and Shah Rukh Khan in a special appearance.
The story follows Madhavan’s character as he fights to clear his name and restore justice to his family after being wrongfully accused of selling secrets of rocket science to Pakistan. The film was released on February 1, 2023, and has received positive reviews from critics.
"Rocketry: The Nambi Effect" has been selected as an official entry for the 2023 Academy Awards in the Best International Feature Film category.
