Pizza Hut to make world's largest pizza at 68000 slices

Pizza Hut is now the proud owner of the Guinness Book of World Records title for "World's Largest Pizza." It created a pie on January 18 that spanned nearly 14,000 square feet in Los Angeles,

It was baked according to "The Big New Yorker"'s recipe, and after it was done, it was donated to several local charities. According to Pizza Hut President David Graves, 68,000 slices were created.

The pie-making help of YouTube sensation Airrack, whose real name is Eric Decker, increased his subscriber count to more than 10 million.

The world's largest pizza ever made prior to this was created by a group of chefs in Rome, Italy in 2012. The pizza measured 1,261.65 square meters (13,570 square feet) and was made using 9,920 pounds of flour, 3,527 pounds of mozzarella cheese, 1,984 pounds of tomato sauce, and 209 pounds of margarine. The pizza was cut into over 94,000 slices and was distributed to the homeless as part of a charity event.

Another notable large pizza was made by Dovilio Nardi, an Italian chef, in Norwood, South Africa in 1990. The pizza measured 1,261 square meters (13,570 square feet) and was made using 9,920 pounds of flour, 3,968 pounds of tomatoes, 3,527 pounds of mozzarella cheese, 209 pounds of margarine and was cut into 94,248 pieces.

Both of these pizzas were recognized by the Guinness World Record as the largest pizza ever made. These records were made at a special event, not a commercial pizza restaurant.
