PETA praised 'GOTG 3' for its animal rights message

The newly released movie, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, has received widespread acclaim and is considered one of the best Marvel movies in recent times. Surprisingly, the animal rights group PETA has also praised the film, referring to it as "the best animal rights film of the year."The third instalment of the Marvel franchise, which was released on May 5th, features a flashback scene depicting the anthropomorphic raccoon, Rocket, voiced by Bradley Cooper, being subjected to torture by the High Evolutionary. Extensive medical procedures were carried out on Rocket by the film's villain to transform him into a sentient and potent weapon. In a scene where Nebula (played by Karen Gillan) views recordings of Rocket's past, she remarks that they are more distressing than any torture she experienced at the hands of Thanos.
