Femina Miss India 2024: Event Overview
This year's Femina Miss India marked its diamond jubilee, celebrating 60 years of empowering women. The event featured a star-studded jury, including television personality Anusha Dandekar and other fashion industry veterans, who evaluated the contestants on beauty, talent, and personality.
The competition began with nationwide auditions, which were divided into five zones: East, North East, North, South, and West. After rigorous auditions, 30 state finalists were selected, each undergoing a boot camp that included training sessions, digital shoots, and interview rounds. The finalists then competed in the grand finale, showcasing their talent and personality.
The grand finale was filled with exciting performances, including a runway appearance by former Miss India Sangeeta Bijlani. The event also launched a special anthem, Rise of Queen, in celebration of the pageant's legacy.
In addition to Nikita Porwal, Rekha Pandey and Aayushi Dholakia were named first and second runners-up, respectively. The event also emphasised social responsibility, with funds raised for tribal women's welfare through the Beauty With a Purpose initiative.
