The film brings to life a tale rooted back in Indian mythology and culture and explores the traditional cultures of Bhoota Kola and Kambala. The plot revolves around a village where the King had given his land to villagers 150 years ago. After a few years, some government officials claimed management of the land and its agricultural produce. But the villagers do not listen to anyone as they believe that the land was given to them by a demigod protector. The protagonist Shiva ( Rishabh Shetty) leads the entire village against the government. The story revolves around human and nature conflict, deeply rooted in Karnataka folklore.

The movie was released in the Hindi language on October 14 and in Telugu on October 15. It is reported that the movie has been made with a modest budget of Rs. 16 crores, and has been shot entirely in Kundapura. With such low usage of CGI and green screens, it is indeed a visually breathtaking experience and like the stars say, a must-watch in the theatres.
