Michael Douglas to get Satyajit Ray Lifetime Award

The prestigious Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award will be given to the renowned Hollywood actor and producer Michael Douglas at the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI). The announcement was shared by Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Shri. Anurag Singh Thakur through a post on X(previously called Twitter). IFFI 54, an important event in the global film calendar, will be attended by the celebrated actor, along with his wife, the eminent actress and philanthropist Catherine Zeta-Jones, and their son and actor, Dylan Douglas. The Sunburn music festival Shailendra Singh, who is celebrating his 25th year in the Indian film industry, will also be present.

On X, Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur announced that Michael Douglas, his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, and their son Dylan Douglas would be attending the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI). He also welcomed them warmly and stated that Michael Douglas's love for India is well-known and that the nation is eager to show off its rich cinematic tradition and unique customs.

The Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award was established at the 30th IFFI in 1999 and is given to individuals whose outstanding contributions have significantly enriched and elevated the world of cinema.
