Liv Tyler returns to Marvel for ‘Captain America 4’ after 15 years

Liv Tyler will make her return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the upcoming movie Captain America: New World Order, where she will reprise her role as scientist Betty Ross from the 2008 film The Incredible Hulk. Although Liv Tyler's character hasn't appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since The Incredible Hulk, The Hollywood Reporter reveals that she'll now be joining other actors from the same movie who have featured in subsequent projects. The film is currently being shot in Atlanta, directed by Julius Onah, and written by Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson.

Anthony Mackie will lead the cast as Sam Wilson, who takes on the mantle of Captain America for the first time in the film. Shira Haas will also make her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The movie marks the first time that Mackie will lead the franchise, succeeding Chris Evans as the titular character. Carl Lumbly, Danny Ramirez, and Tim Blake Nelson will also return to the franchise to reprise their respective roles from The Incredible Hulk.

Liv Tyler is known for her performances in popular movies like Armageddon, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and television series The Leftovers. She was last seen in the Fox drama 9-1-1: Lone Star. 'Captain America: New World Order' will release on May 3, 2024.
