Popular Malayalam crime-drama web series, "Kerala Crime Files," is set to return with its highly anticipated second season. The announcement of the new season was made with its intriguing first-look poster, which stirred up excitement among fans.
Taking to social media, Renowned filmmaker Ahammed Khabeer shared the series' first-look poster, revealing a captivating image of a police officer, his back turned to the camera, with a striking visual of a stadium adorning his head.
"We are back with the season 2 of 'Kerala Crime Files'; And it's our first production venture too; Filming starts from next week,” announced Khabeer.
Khabeer also steps into the role of producer for the second season, under his ‘Monkey Business’ banner.’ The film is written by Bahul Ramesh, whose previous works include acclaimed projects like 'Mandharam' and 'Innale Vare.’
"Kerala Crime Files Season 2" offers an engaging story that will captivate audiences, accompanied by stunning cinematography by Jithin Stanislaus and a remarkable musical score by composer Hesham Abdul Wahab.
While details about the plot and cast remain shrouded in secrecy, speculations abound regarding potential new additions to the ensemble, including the possibility of Gokul Suresh taking on a lead role. However, official confirmation is eagerly awaited.

As fans eagerly await the release of "Kerala Crime Files Season 2," memories of the first season's success linger. Kerala Crime Files Season 1, with an ensemble cast including Aju Varghese, Lal, Sreejith Mahadevan, Zhinz Shan, Aji Alok, and more, the show depicted the Ernakulam North police racing against time to arrest a murderer.
Directed by Ahammed Khabeer, with Jithin Stanislaus as the cinematographer, and music by Hesham Abdul Wahab, it centred on the investigation of a prostitute's murder at a lodge.
Just like season 1, the second season will be available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.
