A spokesperson for Jamie Foxx has denied allegations of sexual assault made against the actor. The allegations were first reported in a lawsuit filed in New York City on Wednesday. The plaintiff, who is identified as Jane Doe in the lawsuit, alleges that Foxx sexually assaulted her at a New York City restaurant in 2015.
Foxx's spokesperson denied the allegations in a statement released to PEOPLE, saying, "The alleged incident never happened." The statement also noted that the plaintiff had filed a similar lawsuit against Foxx in 2020, which was dismissed shortly thereafter. "The claims are no more viable today than they were then," the statement said. "We are confident they will be dismissed again."

The lawsuit alleges that Foxx sexually assaulted Doe after she approached him for a photo at a restaurant in Manhattan. Doe claims that Foxx groped her and made inappropriate comments before she was able to escape.
Foxx's attorney, Allison Hart, has not yet responded to a request for comment.
