Jennifer Lopez is making a comeback with her highly anticipated film, an Amazon Original "This Is Me Now: A Love Story," which is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on February 16.
JLo shared the trailer of her upcoming film on Instagram, where the founder of the Isha Foundation was mentioned in the cast alongside others. This might hint towards the surprise addition to the film cast — spiritual teacher Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev.
JLo, co-wrote this project with Matt Walton. She added the film as "the most personal thing I've ever done," the film is about mythological storytelling and personal healing. Amazon describes the film as a "narrative-driven cinematic experience.”
The trailer gives a little glimpse into a storyline, touching themes of romance, loss, and even hinting towards sex addiction therapy. The film looks a lot like a creative re-telling of Lopez's romance as she opens up about her experiences in the trailer.
The trailer also hints towards a musical component to the storytelling with Fancy Costumes, Breathtaking visuals. This all aligns with the release of Lopez's first studio album in a decade, titled "This Is Me...Now."
Fans are intrigued by the unexpected addition of Sadhguru to the cast with netizens anticipating about the spiritual teacher's potential role in the film. However, the film's team has not yet confirmed Sadhguru's debut in Hollywood.
The star-studded cast includes big Hollywood names such as Ben Affleck, Sofia Vergara, Trevor Noah, Keke Palmer, Post Malone, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Kim Petras, and Derek Hough.
The film is directed by Dave Meyers, best known for his work on music videos like Ariana Grande’s "No Tears Left to Cry" and Harry Styles’ "Adore You”.
