Indian short film 'Champaran Mutton' nominated for Oscar's student academy awards

Falak Khan, an actor from Bihar's Muzaffarpur, thanked her team after her short film "Champaran Mutton" made it to the semi-final round of the Student Academy Award.

She told the media that it is a moving story about the issues that middle-class families face every day. She said, "I'm grateful to everyone on the team for this success." This is the result of all of our hard work."

Ranjan Kumar of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, is in charge of directing the movie.There were more than 1,700 nominations for this award from film schools all over the world. One of the choices was "Champaran Mutton."

The actor said that he was sure and hoping that her movie would make it to the final round and win the prize. She said that the movie is about a middle-class family and the issues they face during the lockdown, when a lot of people lost their jobs.

It tells the tale of a young man who, despite losing his job due to the lockdown, tries to woo the girl he loves. A rural location serves as the setting for the story, she said. It will be up against 16 other projects that have made it to the semifinals of the Student Academy Award.
