Months ago, Alia stirred headlines by mentioning Ranbir's preference for her natural lip look over lipstick, sparking social media outrage. On the show, defended Ranbir, asserting that he is the opposite of toxic.

Karan Johar questioned Alia Bhatt about talking extensively about Ranbir Kapoor. Alia explained, "I have a candid way of speaking, imitating the person I'm talking about. Things get taken out of context."

Despite serious articles labeling Ranbir as toxic, Alia defended him, saying, "The only reason I feel bad is because he is genuinely the opposite. There is a line being crossed, but you cannot say anything about it."

She shared Ranbir's perspective, quoting him as saying, "The audience owns you; they can say whatever they want. As long as your movies are doing well, don’t complain."

In the rapid-fire, Kareena was surprised by a question about Deepika, clarifying it wasn't meant for her. Alia praised Deepika during her turn, emphasising there's no competition as Deepika is her senior.

When asked if Alia was a better actor, Kareena lauded her as the best in the last decade, with playful attempts by Karan to get a different response. Their mutual admiration has strengthened, especially since Alia is now married to Kareena's late uncle Rishi Kapoor's son, Ranbir. The two have previously appeared together on Koffee with Karan.
