Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has once again proven his enduring stardom as tickets for his upcoming film, 'Jawan', sold out within 15 minutes of the advance booking opening. The film, directed by Atlee Kumar, is set to be released on September 7 and has been generating buzz for months. The anticipation among fans and film pundits was palpable, but the speed at which tickets sold out was unexpected. The film has already garnered an impressive Rs. 1.2 crore in advance bookings in the United States, with bookings also available in Germany, the United Arab Emirates, and Australia.
Only a few centres in Mumbai opened advance bookings in India, and fans wasted no time in purchasing tickets. In Thane, audiences even bought tickets for as much as Rs 1100. 'Jawan' will be released globally in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu and stars Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra, and Priyamani, with a cameo appearance by Deepika Padukone. The film's trailer and two songs, 'Zinda Banda' and 'Chaleya,' have received an enthusiastic response from the audience.
'Jawan' is SRK's second release of the year, and he will also appear in Rajkumar Hirani's 'Dunki, set to be released in December. After a long absence, Shah Rukh Khan returned to starring roles in 2023 with 'Pathaan', which became his biggest hit. All eyes are now on 'Jawan' to see if it lives up to the sky-high expectations set by its record-breaking advance bookings.
