Grammy nomination for PM Modi collaborated song on millets

'Abundance in Millets,' a unique collaboration between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indian-American singer Falguni Shah, has been nominated for the Best Global Music Performance category at the upcoming 2024 Grammy Awards.

This special song features a speech penned and delivered by PM Modi, aiming to spotlight the potential of millet in combating world hunger.

Crafted with the intent to raise awareness about these super grains, the song is a musical tribute to PM Modi's proposal to declare 2023 as the International Year of Millets.

Falguni expressed her honour in working alongside PM Modi, aiming to promote millet, support farmers in their growth, and contribute to ending world hunger through their song.

The Prime Minister, during his visit to the US earlier this year, unveiled the album cover of 'Abundance in Millets,' acknowledging Shah's efforts in advocating for the health and eco-friendly aspects of millets.

He commended her for fostering unity between the people of India and the US through her music.

This Grammy nomination adds another chapter to Falguni Shah's musical journey.

Previously awarded the Best Children's Music Album Grammy for 'A Colourful World,' she shared her surprise when PM Modi extended his congratulations for her first-ever Grammy win.
