The release date of the highly-anticipated sequel to the Telugu film Pushpa: The Rise has been revealed. The film, titled Pushpa: The Rule, will be released on August 15, 2024.
The announcement was made on Monday evening by the film's producers on social media. The film stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil will be in the lead roles. The first part of the film was released in December 2021 and was a huge commercial success.
The makers of the film have not yet released any details about the plot of the sequel. However, it is expected to pick up where the first part left off and explore the story of Pushpa Raj's journey to become the kingpin of the red sandalwood smuggling business.
The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers, in association with Sukumar Writings.
The new poster of Pushpa: The Rule, the sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise, features Allu Arjun's hand, adorned with rings and bracelets, with blood stains on it.
The poster is a clear indication that the sequel will be more action-packed and violent than the first part.
The music director Devi Sri Prasad, who won the National Award for Best Music Direction (Songs) for the first part, will be returning for the sequel as well. The first look of Allu Arjun from the upcoming film was released earlier this year on the occasion of his 41st birthday.

The movie is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers in association with Sukumar Writings. It also stars Rashmika Mandanna as Srivalli and Fahadh Faasil as Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat. The supporting cast includes Dhanunjay, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj, and Ajay Ghosh.
