Fashion designer Rohit Bal is currently receiving treatment for cardiac issues in the intensive care unit (ICU) of Gurugram's Medanta Hospital. According to doctors, his condition is critical.
Dr Praveen Chandra, a renowned cardiologist, is leading the team overseeing his care. Dr Chandra mentioned that while Bal's heart condition is being stabilized, he is also dealing with an infection that is causing complications.
According to reports Bal, 61, has been relying on a pacemaker for quite some time, according to a family friend. "It was giving him trouble, so he was taken to Moolchand hospital near his house. He was later shifted to Medanta as they knew his medical history. He is on life support in ICU but we are hoping that he will recover," he added.
Bal, who was born in Srinagar in 1961, has made a name for himself in the fashion industry with his unique and modern designs that seamlessly blend traditional Indian aesthetics with contemporary styles. He is renowned for his ability to merge India's rich cultural heritage with global fashion trends. Unfortunately, Bal has been absent from the fashion scene for the past few years due to health issues. Despite this setback, he has designed costumes for the popular Indian game show Kaun Banega Crorepati and has opened a flagship store in Delhi, as well as several other stores in Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, and Chennai. Bal has also expanded his creative talents to designing jewelry, with his signature use of lotus and peacock motifs.
