Double Oscar-winning actress Glenda Jackson passes away at age 87

The actress who gave blockbusters to the industry through Women in Love, Nasty Habits, Touch of Glass, Bloody Sunday, Elizabeth is Missing and many more, 'Glenda Jackson' passed away at the age of 87 on Thursday, 15th June. She was at her home in London with family and died due to a short illness. 

This veteran actress won Oscars two times. With this, she achieved the Emmy award 3 times, 2 BAFTA (British Academy Film and Television Award) and a Tony award in her 50-60 years of acting career. After a particular time, she took a break from acting and shifted her focus to politics. She spent 23 years as a lawmaker in government. And left parliament in 2015 when she came back to the acting field with the legendary performance in 'King Lear'. 

This outstanding lady who completed her education at the Academy of Dramatic Art in London recently shot her film 'The Great Escaper' with Michael Caine. Unfortunately, it became her last film of her career. All her co-stars expressed their grief for this great actress and gave her tribute.
