Disney Star Network has a total live viewership of 47.14 crore with the ongoing IPL

In an exciting announcement on Thursday, Disney Star Network revealed its continued success in breaking viewership records for the Indian Premier League (IPL) on television. Week 6 of the ongoing 2023 season saw an impressive addition of 2.1 crore new viewers, resulting in a remarkable total live broadcast viewership of 47.14 crores after 57 games. This achievement marks the highest viewership at this stage in the history of the IPL. The seven matches held during Week 6 garnered a peak concurrency of three crore viewers, with the MI vs RCB match reaching an exceptional peak concurrency of 4.7 crores, setting a new record for Week 6. Furthermore, the broadcaster witnessed an impressive year-on-year growth of over 44% in Weekly TVR (Week 6) compared to the previous edition.

To further enhance the excitement, Disney Star introduced the concept of Rivalry Week during Week 6 of the Tata IPL 2023. This special initiative aimed to create a "must-watch" week for fans by showcasing captivating rivalries between popular teams and teams from the North and South regions.
