On Monday, a five-star Mumbai hotel hosted the awards ceremony for the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival. RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli, won the Film Of The Year award at the ceremony. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt won the most prestigious acting awards.
For her role as Gangubai in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiyawadi, Alia won the award for best actress, and Ranbir won the award for best actor for Brahmastra. Alia accepted it on Ranbir's behalf because he couldn't make it to the event.
