This weekend's box office for Creed III set new records.
The Michael B. Jordan-directed sequel had the greatest opening weekend for a sports movie in cinema history, with an estimated $58.6 million at the box office. Creed III, which received excellent reviews and had the Rocky/Creed franchise's best-ever weekend at the multiplex, scored a huge win at the box office.
Creed III is establishing itself to be one of the true box office blockbusters of 2023 so far, even without the return of longtime series actor Sylvester Stallone. It's certainly succeeding in theatres right now.
It is also interesting to know that Jonathan Majors, Creed III co-star, is making huge financial success with his Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which is leading for the past two weeks.
