People magazine has named the sexiest man alive for 20222!! And it is none other than Chris Evans. The issue came out on the 7th of November 2022 and it honoured Captain America as the new Sexiest Man Alive.
Evans said to People magazine in an interview, that his mother will be very proud and that she normally is proud of everything he does but this will be something she can really brag about. He also added that he is waiting for friendly teasing from his friends. And he is sure that they will laugh about it.
The 41-year-old actor also shared a lot about his upcoming plans. He said that he is looking forward to relaxing a bit when it comes to his career and creating a more healthy work-life balance for himself. Chris also said that he wants to create a family, he says that he loves the idea of traditions and ceremonies and can't think of a better thing than to make and follow traditions with his wife and kids.
He said, “When you read about most of the best artists, whether it's actors, painters, writers, most of them [admit] it wasn't the work they made [that they are most proud of], it was about the relationships, the families they created, the love they found, the love they shared. So it's also something through my long 41 years that also rings true. Those things are the most important.”
The Lightyear actor also said that he is choosing his movies more carefully these days saying, "When it comes to seeking out the people I play it's more of an issue of where the movie shoots." He says. "I'm too old to be living out of a suitcase for six months and I've settled into a nicer phase where I'm just happy being at home."
When he was asked what he thought about this new title Evans laughed and said that it seemed like a humble sort of bragging and that he is just happy to be part of the discussion in any capacity. Chris also said that once he is old and soggy this will definitely be something he will look back and remember. And that his middle school self would have been pumped at being named the sexiest man alive.
He also took to his Instagram to share this news and thank people magazine he wrote, “Thanks @people!! I think we can all agree that it’s damn near impossible to follow in Paul Rudd’s footsteps in any capacity, but I’ll do my best.”
Well for now it seems that The Avengers are passing around the sexiest man alive titles between each other. Can't blame them, either, can we?
