Kim Nam-Joon, the leader of BTS, has earned another feather to his crown. He was formally named the Ministry of National Defense's public relations ambassador on June 1, 2023.
RM APPOINTED AS MINISTRY OF NATIONAL DEFENCE AMBASSADOR
BTS' RM will represent the Ministry of National Defense's "Killed in Action Recovery & Identification" organization, also known as MAKRI. On May 31, BigHit Music announced that starting on June 1 KST, RM will formally take over as MAKRI's public relations representative. The supergroup's leader has also been officially chosen as of June 1. Finding and bringing back the remains of the families of Korean military heroes is MAKRI's aim. RM, as the ambassador for public relations, will promote the organization and its activities.
Right now, Army employees are the happiest. They are so very proud of RM that they rushed to Twitter to express their happiness and excitement at this news. BTS will make their digital single Take Two available to celebrate their tenth anniversary of making their debut. This is BTS' second joint release after the declaration of a sabbatical from group activity. A Korean animated film's original soundtrack, titled 'The Planet', was released earlier this year. RM's debut solo album, 'Indigo', was released a year ago. He's now working on other musical projects. Finding and bringing back the remains of the families of Korean military heroes is MAKRI's aim. In his role as the Public Relations Ambassador, RM will promote the company and its activities.
