Filmmaker SS Rajamouli's magnum opus, "RRR," has garnered global acclaim, with Brazil President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva joining the chorus of admirers. The Brazilian leader, who is currently in New Delhi for the G20 Summit, recently expressed his admiration for the pan-Indian film. Rajamouli, the creative genius behind the 2022 blockbuster starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR, took to Twitter to share his excitement and gratitude.
A Brazilian Presidential Seal of Approval
During a conversation with a prominent online portal, President Lula was asked to name his favourite Indian film. His response resonated with the essence of "RRR." He praised the film's three-hour spectacle, highlighting its humorous moments, mesmerizing dance sequences, and its astute critique of British colonialism in India.
"I believe it should be successful because anybody I meet, I ask them 'Have you watched the three 'R' film?' The political side I enjoyed and the dance and the joy that was shown in the film. The critique is perfect as they use humour. So, I congratulate the director and artists because it enchanted me."
As the torch of the G20 presidency was ceremoniously passed from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to President Lula, Brazil is set to assume the leadership of this prestigious international forum on December 1, later this year.
In a fusion of politics, dance, and cinematic excellence, "RRR" has left an indelible mark on international audiences, earning admiration even from world leaders.
