BlackPink Singer, Jennie amazes audience in 'The Idol'

The Idol, an HBO original series by Euphoria’s Sam Levinson, stars BlackPinks Jennie Kim as Dyanne, a backup dancer in the romance genre series. This is said to be the acting debut of the K-pop singer and she has won a segment of the internet with her impeccable performance in the 1st episode of the series.

This series was released on Monday, June 12, and it caught the attention of many, as Jenni’s character in the series is claimed to be different from what she is seen to be. Although Jenni’s appearance in the 1st episode of “The Idol" was not more than 10 minutes, the internet caught her to have played a bold supporting role.

However, there are always 2 sides to a coin, in this way, the internet users had also taken a toll on Jennie’s new role in this series as the content was explicit to many audiences, and wouldn't support a 27-year-old to be playing such roles. The series caught much attention at the Cannes premiere and a 5-minute standing ovation was attributed to the series which is claimed to be highly intoxicating.
