When we were making ‘Article 370’, so many people told us that this film won’t work with the audience, ‘it’s too technical, too many political jargons etc etc’. But we went ahead with our gut because we knew those naysayers were underestimating our audience. Thank you all for… pic.twitter.com/ZL14Ect6G2— Yami Gautam Dhar (@yamigautam) February 26, 2024
"Article 370" stars Yami Gautam as intelligence officer Zooni Haksar, focusing on the revocation of Article 370 and Jammu and Kashmir's unique status in the valley.
On August 5, 2019, the Central government revoked Article 370, which granted special status to the former state of Jammu and Kashmir. The region was then divided into two union territories, Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh. According to news agency PTI, PVR INOX Pictures, a multiplex chain, stated that the movie is currently being shown in 1,509 theatres, including carefully selected major multiplexes and single screens to maximize reach. Additionally, more theatres will be added across the country over the weekend.
