Apna Sunao: Here’s The Indian Version of Coke Studio Promoting 50 Independent Artists

After the overwhelming success of Coke Studio globally, Coca-Cola announces the launch of ‘Coke Studio Bharat’ in Mumbai on Friday. The season is a collaboration of more than 50 musicians from all over the nation who have come together to produce over 10 iconic songs honouring the origins of Bharat, or India.

 

For the first time ever, Coke Studio has brought together 50 amazing, talented, and unique artists from all over India, spanning different genres and styles of music.

Through this milestone edition Apna Sunao, Coke Studio India aims to provide a platform for independent artists to showcase their artistry and reach a larger audience. From rock to hip-hop, from electronica to Bollywood, this edition of Coke Studio India will offer something for everyone. 

 

In addition to promoting independent artists, the edition is also committed to highlighting the diversity of India’s musical heritage. This edition highlights the unique musical styles of different parts of India, from the music of the Northeast to the classical melody of the South. 

 

By creating a platform where independent artists can showcase their artistry, Coke Studio India hopes to inspire a new generation of musicians and provide an opportunity for the whole country to come together and celebrate the spirit of music.

Ankur Tewari, a celebrated, award-winning musician and in-demand lyricist, is the curator of this season of Coke Studio. Ankur has onboarded Kausar Munir along with KJ Singh to handpick regional best of India, to give their sound a new voice.

 

The current season features celebrated artists and musicians like Amira Gill, Achint, Aditya Gadhvi, Arijit Datta, Amaan and Ayaan Ali Bangash, Ashima Mahajan, Armaan Malik, Bombay Brass, Burrah, Charan Raj, Deveshi Sahgal, Dhruv Vishwanath, Diljit Dosanjh, Donn Bhatt, Hashbass, Jasleen Royal, Kanwar Grewal, Mahan Sehgal, Mansa Pandey, Maithili Thakur & Brothers, Mohammad Muneem, Noor Mohammad, OAFF & Savera, Osho Jain, Sakur Khan & Sons, Sanjith Hegde, Shillong Chamber Choir, Tajdar Junaid, Prabhdeep, Rashmeet Kaur, Seedhe Maut, Sakur Khan, and many others. Regional Indian instruments including the Algozha, Chimta, Duff, Sarod, Sarangi, Tumbi, and Rabaab will also receive attention during this season. With distribution handled by UMI, listeners may access Coke Studio Bharat on all audio OTT platforms like Spotify, Gaana, Saavn, Wynk Music, and Audible worldwide. On February 7th, 2023, the first song of the season will be published.
