The passing of renowned Tamil actor-director Manobala at the age of 69 has sparked an outpouring of condolences. His death has left many leading actors and politicians, including Rajinikanth and AIADMK leader K Palaniswami, in shock. Manobala started his career working under legendary filmmaker Bharathirajaa and eventually made his directorial debut with "Agaya Gangai" in 1982. He went on to make movies with top stars such as Rajinikanth, Vijayakanth, and Sathyaraj. While he also played supporting roles in several Tamil-language films, he later ventured into acting, predominantly in comic roles, featuring in numerous movies with top actors such as Vijay and Dhanush. He even produced a few films.
Palaniswami remembered Manobala as a "star speaker" in the AIADMK, having taken its policies to the people in simple language laced with humor. "His passing away is a great loss to the party and the tinsel world," he said. Film producer Dr. Dhananjayan tweeted his shock and disbelief at Manobala's passing, describing him as a sweet person and good friend. He also offered his heartfelt condolences to the family and hoped that Manobala's soul would rest in peace.
