Acclaimed Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal has expressed his doubts about his ability to portray legendary Indian military commander Sam Manekshaw in the upcoming biopic "Sam Bahadur." Kaushal, known for his versatility and intense performances, has questioned whether he is "handsome enough" to embody the charismatic and distinguished Manekshaw.
"Sam Manekshaw was a very handsome man," Kaushal admitted during a recent interview. "I'm not sure I can match up to his looks." Despite his self-deprecating remarks, Kaushal is determined to do justice to the role and has been working tirelessly to prepare for the film. He has been studying Manekshaw's life and mannerisms, and he has even undergone physical training to mirror the general's physique.

"Sam Manekshaw was a true hero and an inspiration to millions," Kaushal said. "I want to do everything I can to portray him accurately and respectfully." Kaushal's humility and dedication to his craft have garnered praise from his colleagues and fans alike. Director Meghna Gulzar, who is helming the biopic, has expressed her confidence in Kaushal's ability to bring Manekshaw to life on the big screen.
"Vicky is an incredibly talented actor," Gulzar said. "I have no doubt that he will be able to capture Sam Manekshaw's essence and deliver a memorable performance."
"Sam Bahadur" is expected to release in theaters in 2024.
