Telangana: Universities to introduce cyber security courses for undergraduate students

With the dramatic increase in cybercrime, the State Universities have chosen to train students to combat and prevent cybercrimes. To this end, the universities will begin offering undergraduate (degree-level) cyber security courses in the upcoming academic year 2023–2024.

No matter their prior education, undergraduate students can choose this innovative course that professionals from Osmania University and NALSAR University of Law created and refined. Students pursuing B.Sc. or BA programmes in degree-granting institutions may enroll in this new option, which carries two credits.

The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) Chairman, Prof. R. Limbadri with Revenue Principal Secretary, Commissioner of Technical and Collegiate Education Navin Mittal and Vice Chancellors of six conventional universities in the State, called a meeting where it was decided to implement a course on cyber security in degree-granting institutions.
