Shell and Microsoft team up to offer digital skills training to non-IT students

In an effort to equip non-IT students with the necessary digital skills for the future, Microsoft and Shell have joined forces. Through their collaboration, the two companies are offering digital skills training to students from universities and colleges. Shell and Microsoft have collaborated to impart digital skills to students in vocational education institutes.

The project aims to equip 5,000 youth from 24 government institutions with digital productivity and employability skills and prepare them for digital careers in the energy and manufacturing industries. The courses provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the latest digital technologies and foster their ability to use them in a practical and creative way. Students will gain knowledge in areas such as coding, data analytics, and machine learning.

The program is designed to empower students to explore the possibilities of the digital world and equip them with the skills to tackle various digital challenges. Microsoft and Shell will provide both technical and soft skill training to help students understand the importance of digital literacy and the potential of digital technology.
The companies hope that the program will help create a new generation of tech-savvy individuals capable of driving innovation and technological progress.

Microsoft and Shell also plan to support students’ future career prospects by providing mentorship opportunities, internships, and job placements. With their joint effort, the two companies aim to bridge the gap between the digital and non-digital worlds.

By offering digital skills training to non-IT students, Shell and Microsoft are helping to bridge the digital skills gap and provide more opportunities for people to access well-paying, in-demand jobs in the technology sector. The partnership will likely provide a range of training opportunities, from basic digital literacy to more advanced programming and data analysis skills.

Digital skills are becoming increasingly important in many industries, not just in IT, and employers are seeking candidates who can navigate the digital landscape with ease. By offering this training, Shell and Microsoft are not only empowering individuals but also helping to strengthen the workforce and increase the competitiveness of the companies they work with.
