Aspiring students want JEE to be pushed

After the JEE Main 2023 Exam Dates were released, engineering aspirants all over the country demanded that the exam be rescheduled due to a conflict with board practical exams. JEE Main 2023: The hashtag "postponeJEEMains" is popular on social media, with candidates calling for the demands to be made known to the education ministry and NTA.

Numerous engineering students are pleading with the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE)-Main to be postponed because it is scheduled to take place just a fortnight before board exams and could conflict with practical exams. Except on Republic Day, the first session of the engineering entrance exam is scheduled from January 24 to January 31, 2023. The CBSE board exams for Class 12 will start on February 15, 2023, and the practical exams will take place in January. On social media, the hashtag "postponeJEEMains" has gained traction as candidates voice their demands to the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the education ministry.

"Many students dream of attending engineering school and becoming engineers, and this exam affects the feelings of their parents and teachers. However, as a result of the announcement of too soon dates, they have begun to give up on their aspirations "said Ritu, a candidate for JEE-Main.

Social media user Sarfaraz wrote on Twitter, "Not giving us a fair chance in the JEE Mains will be a huge injustice. So, if you could, please make exams like the JEE more equitable. Students are under stress, and this is a serious problem, according to lawyer and president of the India Wide Parents Association Anubha Sahai. Three students committed suicide just a few days ago in Kota, a coaching hub, as a result of stress.

"The schedule for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) was recently made public, and the exam will take place in May. So why can't JEE be treated similarly? All entrance exams should be uniform, according to Sahai.

The dates of April 6, 8, 10, and 12 in 2023 have been set aside for the administration of JEE-Main 2.

"Assam Boards practicals will start on January 25, Bihar Board practicals will start on January 10, Telangana Board practicals will start on January 20, and JEE Main will start on January 24 through January 31. Don't these dates conflict with one another? Why isn't the government able to see?" asked engineering aspirant Aditya Jha.

The Bihar Board practical exams for Class 12 will be held from January 10 through January 20, 2023. The fact that the JEE Main exam dates won't conflict with the Bihar Board Class 12 practical examination may give JEE aspirants a reason to breathe a sigh of relief. However, the Bihar Board will hold the Class 12 annual exams between February 1 and February 11, 2023, per the BSEB Class 12 datesheet 2023. On January 16, 2023, the BSEB will release the theory exam admit card.
