YouTube opens monetization to creators with 500 subscribers

YouTube, a well-known video-sharing and social media network, has announced that channels with 500 subscribers can now earn money, down from the previous minimum subscriber limit of 1000. According to a report, the company changed its qualifying conditions and its monetization approach to offer smaller producers a chance to prosper on the site. Before, 1000 subscribers were necessary in order to be profitable. The platform has adjusted the subscriber count eligibility and reduced the watch hour requirement from 4000 to 3000 hours. More good news is that the eligible view count has been drastically reduced from 10 million to 3 million for channels that specialize in producing short films. Smaller content providers now have a far better chance of making money on the network thanks to this adjustment.

Prior to being implemented in other areas, the new qualifying requirements will first be applied in the US, UK, Taiwan, and South Korea. The technique for earning via ad income has not altered, despite changes to the platform's qualifying requirements. In order to make money from advertising, content creators will still need to make sure that their work is widely distributed. In order to sustain a consistent supply of material on their platforms, other social media sites like TikTok have also offered financial incentives to users. TikTok recently announced that creators with more than 10,000 followers would be able to use the new paywalled feature, Series. Additionally, it included a list of conditions that would make the functionality available to users with 1,000 followers as well. TikTok's Series feature enables content producers to deliver premium material that is paywalled and accessible only by paying users.
