A 35-year-old guy who is accused of calling the police control center to report a possible danger to industrialist Ratan Tata's life has been found by the Mumbai crime department. It has been discovered that the individual, who has an MBA, has a mental ailment.
Police conducted an inquiry and found that the caller, who remained unidentified, suffers from schizophrenia. The caller had requested that Ratan Tata's protection be increased by the police, threatening to do the same to him if they did not, as Cyrus Mistry, the former chairman of Tata Sons, did when he was killed in a car accident on September 4, 2022.
The Mumbai Police immediately went into full alert mode after getting the call. While one team sought to obtain information on the caller, a special squad was tasked with ensuring Ratan Tata's security. The police were able to locate the caller in Karnataka with the help of a telecom service provider's technical support. It came to light that he lived in Pune.
The caller had been missing for the previous five days, the police learned as they arrived at his Pune home. His spouse had lodged a grievance at the city's Bhosari police station. The caller has schizophrenia, and the authorities discovered after interviewing his family that he had taken the phone used to make the threatening call without telling its owner. The caller had called the Mumbai Police control center and made threats against Ratan Tata.
The caller was suffering from schizophrenia, so the police decided not to file a legal action against him. It was also disclosed that the caller had studied engineering and held an MBA in finance. The issue has been effectively concluded by the Mumbai crime branch, guaranteeing Ratan Tata's safety. The tragedy serves as a reminder of the significance of mental health awareness as well as the necessity of care and assistance for those who need it.
