Indian Fintech major BharatPe announced on Tuesday that its CEO Suhail Sameer has stepped down from his role. The company added in a statement that he will take over as its strategic advisor starting January 7. The firm’s CFO Nalin Negi will take over as the CEO on an interim basis, it announced.

Ashneer Grover, the company's co-founder and former MD, responded to Suhail Sameer's departure as CEO of BharatPe by posting a poem on Twitter.

The poem reads: "Chala gaya Suhail Sameer - he was a nalla! Shashvat - why don't you man up and sambhalo the galla?!' For my English-speaking friends: 1) Nalla (Nalayak) is incompetent/incapable and 2) Galla is business/helm of affairs."

BharatPe is a financial technology company based in India. It offers a range of products and services including a mobile app that allows merchants to accept electronic payments from customers and a loan platform for small and medium-sized businesses. The company was founded in 2018 and has raised significant funding from investors.

The tweet has garnered over 294,000 views, 4,700 likes, and 233 retweets showing Ashneer’s popularity soaring fairly after his Kotak episode and ensuing resignation.
