Wedding bells season is about to come!!!! It is going to be a 'Profitable' season for the traders involved in all kinds of services and goods, whether it be Jewelry, catering or even Tourism as projected.
CAIT Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal took to his social media handle on X (formerly known as Twitter), tweeted that Approximately 3.5 million weddings are set to happen between November 23 and December 15.

In his tweet, Mr. Khandelwal from @CAITIndia speculated that the upcoming 'Shaadi' season's first phase, which runs from November 23 to December 15 is about to bring cheers to the trading community. He foresees a substantial business turnover of approximately ₹4.25 lakh crore in the wedding industry this year in just 23 days. The following stage of the wedding season is set to commence in mid-January and extend until July, as per their statement.
He added, "Around 3.5 million weddings are expected to be held during this time in #Bharat." Delhi alone is expected to host over 35 lacs weddings during this season, potentially generating around ₹1 lac crore business, as per CAIT.
As per Acharya Durgesh Tare, the Chairman of CAIT's Spiritual and Vedic Knowledge Committee, the auspicious dates for wedding ceremonies include November 23, 24, 27, 28, and 29, followed by December 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, and 15. According to IPO India, this year's average wedding expenditure in India is projected to be approximately Rs 5 lakh.
Moreover, According to CAIT, the upcoming festive season and wedding season is expected to increase the demand for items such as jewellery, sarees, furniture, ready-made garments, footwear, and various accessories.
Wedding season in India generates Spectacular business every year
Last year, around the same time, approximately 3.2 million weddings occurred, incurring total expenses of ₹3.75 lakh crore. This evaluation is from a survey conducted by CAIT's research team, as reported by PTI. The survey encompassed 35 cities and involved 4,302 traders and service providers.

India's favoured wedding locations encompass Goa, Jaipur, Kerala, and Shimla. IPO India also noted that the prevailing wedding trends in India involve destination weddings, themed weddings, and eco-friendly weddings generating travel and tourism business.
Businesses nationwide during the wedding season offer a wide range of services such as house painting, event shopping, dresses and gifts as well as food and decor vendor services every year generating a profitable business.
